DMCA Takedown Policy

1. Overview

Flicks respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 ("DMCA"), we will respond promptly to claims of copyright infringement committed using our service.

2. Content Disclaimer

Flicks does not host, store, or upload any video content on its servers. All media content accessible through our platform is sourced from third-party providers. Flicks acts solely as a search engine and link aggregator for publicly available content on the internet. We do not control, endorse, or assume responsibility for any third-party content.

3. Filing a DMCA Notice

If you believe that content accessible through our service infringes your copyright, you may submit a written DMCA takedown notice containing the following information:

  • A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
  • Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing, including the URL or other specific location on the service where the material can be found.
  • Your contact information, including your address, telephone number, and email address.
  • A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notification is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on behalf of the owner.

4. Response to Notices

Upon receiving a valid DMCA notice, we will take reasonable steps to remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material. We may also forward the notice to the party that made the content available.

5. Counter-Notification

If you believe that material you posted was removed or access to it was disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter-notification. The counter-notification must include:

  • Your physical or electronic signature.
  • Identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled.
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  • Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district.

6. Repeat Infringers

In appropriate circumstances, Flicks will disable and/or terminate the accounts of users who are repeat infringers.
